Created by Designer Built Homes for the 2026 NW Natural Street of Dreams, this Oregon City residence takes a holistic approach to outdoor living, bringing cooking, dining, lounging, and recreation together in one thoughtfully connected backyard. The design went on to earn Best Outdoor Living, People’s Choice, among a total of 14 awards received by the home.
Under the expansive covered patio, the outdoor kitchen becomes part of a larger open-air living space, positioned alongside dedicated dining and lounge areas and overlooking a private putting green and layered landscaping. NatureKast cabinetry in the Eclipse door style and Natural Blonde finish introduces a warm, understated woodgrain that complements the surrounding natural textures while keeping the kitchen visually connected to the home’s contemporary architecture.
Rather than competing for attention, each element contributes to the experience of the space. From dinner at the outdoor table to an evening by the fire or a few rounds on the putting green, the backyard was designed to offer multiple ways to gather, relax, and spend time outside. The result is an award-winning outdoor retreat that feels like a true extension of the home.
